Program Summary & Schedule
The STNA program uses a curriculum that is approved by the Ohio
Department of Health. Our program is a two-week, full time program or a
three-week, part time program that consists of coursework relating to
the following healthcare topics: nurse aide roles, communication,
interpersonal skills, basic nursing skills, mental health, social
services, legal issues, safety & security, signs & symptoms of
disease, aging, death & dying, hygiene, grooming, and mobility. In
addition to classroom-based training, you will have a “hands on”
clinical experience. Upon successful completion of our class, all
students will be qualified to take and pass the State Tested Nurses
Aide examination.
The STNA program is offered many times throughout the year. Day
classes run from 8:00am to 4:00 pm Monday – Friday and evening classes
run from 5:30pm to 10:30pm Monday - Wednesday. There are two days of
clinicals (8 hours each) at the end of each class session. Please
contact Alia Healthcare Services at 614-847-3617 for the next available
start dates.
The Ohio Department of Health requires that students complete a minimum
of 59 classroom hours and 16 clinical hours for a total of 75 hours. To
ensure that all students meet these requirements, we monitor the amount
of time that each student participates in class. If any class
time is missed due to an emergency, arrangements must be made to make
up the hours at the instructor’s discretion. If hours missed are
not due to a verifiable emergency or too many hours are missed then the
student will be asked to leave the class and restart with the next
session.
Location
The STNA program consists of classroom-based learning activities
and community-based clinical experiences. All classroom
activities take place at our offices located at 1925 E Dublin Granville
Rd, Suite 106, Columbus Ohio. All clinical experiences take place in
long term care facilities in the Columbus metropolitan area.
Program Costs
Please enquire with the administrative staff for current tuition
costs. Tuition includes your lab materials and clinical
fees. In addition to tuition, there will be a $25 charge for
books. Students must provide their own uniforms, shoes, and a
wristwatch with second hand.
Payment Information
Deposit: Each student must pay a $100 deposit at the time of
enrollment. All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable and
are applied toward the cost of the program.
The remaining balance is due prior to the first class unless other
arrangements are made (please see Fee Payment Agreement for details
prior to submitting your application). If payment arrangements
are made, please remember that your fees will be due on the agreed upon
date. It is important that all fees be paid in full five days
prior to the last day of class. Otherwise, the clinical session
may have to be postponed.
Alia Healthcare Services accepts cash, checks and money orders
only. Deposits and other payments may be mailed or delivered in
person to Alia Healthcare Services, 1925 E Dublin Granville Rd, Suite

Financial Aid
Financial Aid for the STNA program may be available through the Central Ohio Workforce Investment
Corporation (COWIC) or Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services
(ODJFS). Any individual who has a limited income or is unemployed or
underemployed may qualify. Individuals who receive financial aid from
COWIC typically must attend job readiness training in addition to the
regular STNA classes. They must also agree to work as a nurse aide for
several months after graduation.
Financial Aid for the STNA program may also be available through the
Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation or other social services agencies
that serve special populations, such as people with disabilities,
veterans, state employees, etc.
